Playdate

The princess and I had a playdate with Brit and Maci a few weeks ago. We went to a park near my house and the girls played. Or really, the princess played--Maci didn't really know what to think.
When I told the princess that Ms. Britney and Maci were coming over, she was so excited! The only thing she wanted to do was push Maci in a baby swing. The princess loves babies!

Table Talk

During dinner on Saturday night, we were going around the table saying our favorite thing of the day, things that make us smile, things that make us laugh, things we love about daddy.
So, it's time for the princess and we're on things that make us smile. She says toots. Ok. Then on to things that make us laugh and she says toots. And then big sister lets one rip. It was hilarious and we couldn't stop laughing!
So thankful that we're raising our sweet little girls to be so classy!

Boys with Tails?

After picking the girls up from VBS (Vacation Bible School), a few of us went to Chick fil A to eat lunch and play. Of course during lunch, the princess has to go potty. So off we go to the women's restroom. As we were walking in, a mommy and a little boy come in, too. So in the stall the princess and I go. The princess is laughing and says (quietly thank goodness!), "I know that boy is going potty with his tail. Boys have tails from their bottoms." I try so hard to not laugh but I was not successful in that department (and I'm cracking up as I'm writing this now--I know, I'm real mature.). But, come on, that's just too funny not to laugh at. And, I might add, it was not my best mommy moment because I didn't correct her. I was too busy laughing and then we just moved on. That's terrible, I know, but what's a mom to do. Other than laugh and not let her precious daughter know that boys do not have tails coming out of their bottoms.

Hope you all have a fantastic weekend! Happy Father's Day to all of your hubbies!

Today

Today has been an uneventful day. Don't really feel like doing much but should be doing a lot!

Girls went to VBS and I went to work out. Came home feeling motivated to do laundry and clean up a bit and I did just that. Picked up girls from VBS, went to lunch with some friends (ate way many more calories than I burned off at the gym) and came home. H got her way and had a friend come to play. I put some more laundry away and sat down for a minute. One minute. Then, I woke myself up with a loud snore. OK, that's embarrassing! Not sure how long I was out but falling asleep has made me exhausted. ALL I WANT TO DO IS SLEEP!

And now it's 6:03. H will be coming home from practice soon, B will be walking in the door from Austin and everyone will be asking, "What's for dinner?" Um, I'm not sure. How does PB&J sound? I'm sure everyone will be thrilled. Right? Right!

Maybe tomorrow I will get some more things done. Like packing all of our stuff up!

The Lake

We spent the day at the lake a few weekends ago with good friends. Celebrated Sophie's 8th birthday. Played in the sand. Swam in the water. Ate yummy food (compliments of Kristin). Got some rays from the sun. Laughed. Talked. Watched the kids play. Watched the hubbies play with the kids. Watched the hubbies play football. Played with the kids. Man, I love summer!

Didn't take many pictures. But here's a couple.

The princess with Ella. They were so cute swimming together on the noodle.

H, Sophie and Anna. 3 peas in a pod. Sweet friends! Happy Birthday, Soph!

Princess Talk

On the way home from the zoo today, Bryan asked the girls to put their headphones on to watch the movie. The princess asked, "Why Daddy? So you can jam?"

Right on, Princess! The beauty of the headphones is that the hubby and I can 'jam' to some music while the kids watch a movie.

The princess makes me laugh.

Movie Night

The girls and I went with some friends to movie night that was held outside in their neighborhood a couple of weekends ago. The girls played games, danced and hung out with friends before the movie started (The Bee Movie). It was a nice night out, it actually was a bit chilly towards the end.

Is This REALLY Happening?

So, I haven't posted about the house and all that is going on. It has been crazy around here! Showings were crazy the first week. The girls and I practically lived in the car with Sug the Dog or hung out at a friend's house. And, great news, we got some offers! We took one and we close early July! So, now we're just hoping and praying that everything goes well with that. Thank you to the buyers for being the perfect fit for our house!
The packing starts this weekend. Not really looking forward to that part but I plan on having a wine party and have some friends come over to help out a bit. And, of course, all of our families are here, so get ready family!!! ;) I'm only kidding. Maybe. Ok, I'm not kidding at all. I'll definitely be asking!
And now, on to a new house. That's the part we're missing in the equation. That's a big part! But, we are working on it. Hoping we make the best decision for our family.
All of this is so exciting but scary at the same time. All of this unknown is making me crazy and stressed! I have 3 new zits to prove it! But, I know it will all work out how it's supposed to.

Carnival

Radio Disney, fun games, friends, sunshine and more. The school carnival, always a good time! Didn't get to take many pictures as I volunteered for a portion of it and the hubby didn't want to hold the camera.

Not So Much

Soccer season has ended. The princess didn't seem to care for soccer that much. But she sure cared about the trophy that her coach gave her! She told everyone about it. "I got a trophy. A soccer trophy." She would say it with a huge smile on her face. The princess never made a goal this first soccer season. In fact, she hardly ever made contact with the ball. But that's ok. The last game of the season, she got her foot on the ball and tried hard to kick it. Not sure that soccer is her thing, but she wants to play again. I think it's because big sister is going to play in the fall. Just a hunch. She is only 4. We have time to figure it all out.

H at the game taking pictures of herself with my phone. Such entertainment!

So thirsty!

Oh, the love!

This little lady is awesome!

Love this shot of her. Her hair is getting long and it's so beautiful! She wants her hair short. If she only knew!

Spring Musical

The girls had their Spring Musical at church a few weeks ago. Parabalooza. It was adorable! It was a 'game show type' musical. Had 2 teams competing against each other. The audience joined in on the fun, too!

Gracie was not actually in the musical, but her music class sang about 4 songs before the show began. Gracie just stood there for the first song, checking her surroundings out. But she joined in after that.

Here's the princess. She saw us out in the audience. She'd just stare at us, smile, wave and then stand there.

The angel. She loves to be on stage. She gets a little nervous--she'll cross her arms, smile a lot and almost laugh--but then she's ok and goes with the flow.

Playing one of the game show games.

Little sister so proud of her big sister on stage.

And, here's the princess in singing mode. Makes me smile!
And here's the angel. She cracks me up! Every time she looks over at us, she smiles so big and almost busts out laughing.

And here's the angel saying her line. So proud!

Sit down. Stand up.

That's what the angel and I did a lot of at Anna's First Communion a few weeks ago. Those Catholics like to sit, stand, sit, stand. Ha! I'm only joking. No need to be offended. It was a lovely service and I'm glad that H and I were a part of it.

The angel and I.

The crew at the after-party!

Always have to have a silly one.

Two of my best buds, Laurie and Kristin. I'm so thankful for our friendships! Don't know what I'd do without them, and hopefully I will never have to find out!

Appreciated

One of my fav b-day gifts by far was given to me this year by my sweet girls and hubby. The rememberence stackable rings by James Avery. They got the birthstones of the princess and the angel and mine. I absolutely love it!

I tried (and so did my hubby) to get a good pic of the rings but failed to. But here's a couple that shows up a bit.
