We had a great Christmas break. Lots of family and friend time. Christmas was amazing and then two days later we celebrated our sweet Gracie turning seven. Seven sounds so big. Gracie keeps telling me that she still feels six. She wonders when she will feel seven.

Gracie~
You are so fun to be around. You make us laugh constantly with all of your funny sayings. Your laugh is contagious and so is your smile.
You're extremely stubborn. Extremely. You don't like to be the center of attention and you're super quiet around people you don't know. But once you're comfortable, you are not super quiet anymore. :)
You can give some really mean looks, but you can give some super sweet ones, too. You love giving hugs and kisses. I love that about you.
You and your sister still sleep together. You both say at times that tonight is the night we sleep in our own beds, but it hasn't happened--unless you have friends spending the night or you spend the night at a friend's house. I think it's sweet. There will be a time when you don't want to sleep in the same bed or even be in the same room with each other, so I cherish this time.
When you're not at home or school, you are either at volleyball, dance or gymnastics. You have fun with your after school activities, but you also like having play dates with your friends after school. You like to play library, school, American Girl Dolls, and games on the computer.
First grade is fun for you, and you love your teacher. You like to read chapter books and doing your homework. Math is your favorite subject so far. I'm happy about that!
You love dressing yourself and you definitely have style. You don't really like to wear dresses anymore or even skirts. Mostly jeans, a shirt, boots and as of lately, a hat.
You love the color purple. You even have purple boots. Your favorite fruit is raspberries (which is new). You love cheese pizza, chicken nuggets, cheese quesadillas and a taco dish that I make.
Root beer is your drink of choice, but you don't have it to often. You like going to Rudy's with your dad so you can get a bottle of root beer. Makes me laugh.
You're awesome Gracie! We all love you so much!

*Haylee wants to stop biting her nails. I really hope she does!

*I would like to find a church that we love and go on a regular basis. Read more, pray more, eat more veggies. I'm also trying to say at least one happy a day.
So my happy for today is that my girls didn't fight this morning while getting ready for school. Yesterday was horrible. Today was good. I'm happy and thankful for that.
My blah is that I ate four chocolate donuts today. Not at once but that's not the point. My PMS made me do it. And I'm thinking about eating another one. Ugh!
We did a resolution craft at my preschool yesterday. The things my preschoolers said were so funny and cute. Here' some I can remember.

drink more water.
spend more time with my family.
play with my trains and trucks.
get better at cutting.
My preschoolers remind me constantly that it's the little things in life. I'm thankful for them and the lessons they teach me.
