This walk is obviously near and dear to my heart since Nanny was diagnosed with it, but I also think of my mom, sister, daughters, cousins, other family and friends when we walk. This walk always amazes me, seeing all of the pink, all of the survivors. And then there's definite sadness to see all of the "In Memory of" banners on shirts. Little children, husbands, wives, mothers, ect. having to lose a loved one to cancer is a harsh reality.
I feel as if this is a little way to help find a cure. Donating to such a good cause makes me feel good, and I hope that it rubs off on my children and that they will do the same when they are older.
The Girl Scouts. They earned a badge by walking in the 3K. Way to go, Girls!

The crew that walked. And there was Billy, but he got stuck taking the picture.

Out of our group, everyone had a sign on. Either for honoring or remembering.
